They’re invested in a relational and responsive approach that centres interpersonal dialogue and connection with the other than human. Valz Gen is an oracle, through a continuous engagement in devotionals, a practice of the divinatory arts and other creative forms of meaning making. Their first professional job was as a film and street food critic for a newspaper in the early 2000s.

Subversive Economies, their first poetry chapbook in English, was published by PSS Press in 2018. Their prose has been featured in Queeer Diasporic Futurity, MAP Magazine, Montez Press, Paperwork Magazine, The Happy Hypocrite, amongst others. Their work has been show at the Aichi Triennale, Gropius Bau, Glasgow International, ICA London.
